I don't remember the month. But I remember the year was 2012. I woke up from a dream with tears in my eyes. Bittersweet. The dream was beautiful. I remember it was very early in the morning. I didn't have any empty notebooks, and it wasn't even 7am yet so I couldn't ask my sister to borrow her laptop. So I found some blank paper, grabbed a working pen and started writing. I finished the story in a timeline of four hours. I then transferred the story to a Word Doc and typed it all up. I posted the story and within one week it was an instant favorite.
The "Rescued" story remains as I originally wrote it. Unedited. It has major issues, but remains one of my favorite contemporary works to date. I would love to revisit and polish it up one day. But I just can't seem to build up the courage to do so. Either way, the story helped put me on the map, alongside my novel "Scarred Hearts". Thank you so much for dropping in. I hope you enjoyed my ramble. Have you read the "Rescued" story? If you did, what did you think? If you didn't, check it out here!
